Gran Cuvee Reserva is a new challenge for our winemakers. Reflecting our commitment to indigenous varieties while exploring the synthesis of new grapes, Segura Viudas Gran Cuvée Reserva is a unique blend of delicate Macabeo and Parellada with a touch of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Nine different base wines are blended to contribute unique personality and good acidity to this extraordinary cava, while extended aging provides depth and structure. Winemaker's Notes: This cava offers a fine combination of old vine Macabeo and Parellada, which deliver subtle floral aromas with notes of pear and apple, along with the richness of Chardonnay and the wild berry notes of Pinot Noir. It is a perfect synthesis of soil, climate, and grape aromatics which has been aged for 15 months in contact with its lees in our underground caves to produce a finished wine that is refreshing, rich, and elegant.
